BrewLoop Launches BrewMind, an AI That Knows Your Coffee Order Before You Do
New platform reads your heart rate, checks the weather, and concludes you want a large oat latte. Series B closes at $47M.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA / PRMWire / April 17, 2026 — BrewLoop, the specialty coffee chain best known for finally discontinuing its paper loyalty punch card in 2019, today announced BrewMind, an AI coffee ordering platform that predicts what customers want to drink before they order. The system analyzes physiological data from paired smart watches and cross-references it against eleven years of order history to send customers a push notification about their coffee approximately 11 minutes before they would have thought of it themselves.
"We've been collecting data for eleven years," said CEO Tyler Ashworth, 31, who joined BrewLoop as a barista in 2016 and has since completed one online course in machine learning. "At some point you look at all that data and you think, this isn't a coffee company. This is an intelligence company that happens to sell coffee." He then reportedly ordered a large oat latte.
BrewMind's smart watch integration monitors heart rate variability, sleep quality, step count, and ambient temperature, runs it against 340 million historical orders, and tells you what to drink. Key features include:
- Order Prediction: cross-references 47 physiological signals to predict your drink with claimed 94% accuracy, not counting the oat milk variable
- Mood-Adjusted Sizing: automatically upgrades your order during periods of elevated stress, which BrewLoop's internal research describes as most of the time
- Automatic Loyalty Enrollment: customers are enrolled in BrewLoop's coffee loyalty rewards program the moment they pair their watch. To opt out, visit any BrewLoop location and ask to speak with a manager in person, during business hours, on a weekday
All 340 café locations will remain open. Baristas will be retitled Beverage Intelligence Specialists starting Q3. Pay is unchanged. Several Beverage Intelligence Specialists reached for comment did not respond.
The Series B round totaled $47 million, led by Meridian Venture Partners with participation from Northgate Capital and Derek, Ashworth's former roommate, who put in $12,000 in 2018 and insisted on being listed in the funding announcement as a Strategic Early Backer.
BrewMind is currently in public beta for compatible smart watches. Android support is planned. A standalone device called the BrewLoop Puck is expected in 2027 and described in internal documents as a hockey puck that tells you to get a coffee. Place your logo at the top of every release. It identifies the issuing company at a glance and reinforces brand recognition across syndicated placements.
Always the first line — tells editors this can be published right away. Use "Embargoed until [date]" only when timing matters.
One sentence, under 100 characters, active voice. Who did what — written like a newspaper headline, not a tagline.
Optional second line adding context. Not all outlets display it, but it helps editors grasp the angle quickly.
Opens with CITY, STATE / Newswire / Date — then the lead paragraph answering Who, What, When, Where, Why. If an editor reads nothing else, this is it.
At least one attributed quote from a named spokesperson. Should add opinion or color — not repeat facts already in the body.
Fine for feature lists — bold the name, dash, short description. Keep all narrative sections in prose.
The real SEO value. Include 2–3 keyworded anchor text links to your site, plus one plain URL. Outlets that preserve links pass direct backlinks — this is what drives rankings.
Standard company description reused on every release — what you do, founded when, website. Third person, kept consistent.
Name, title, email, phone — a real person, not a generic inbox. Always the last section before any disclaimer.

BrewLoop, BrewMind, Tyler Ashworth, Cassandra Vail, Derek, and all associated products, investors, and beverage intelligence claims are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to actual coffee chains, AI platforms, or former roommates is coincidental and probably their fault.
